42 kitchen exhaust fan grill
Hi. Sorry no pictures. Mom has 60's in wall kitchen exhaust fan. However not on an exterior wall. Vents up to a crawl space. I know this needs to be fixed. Planning on new vent out the side wall. Contractor said this was more involved than he planned on. IE fixing the wall, I guess. Years ago Mom put brick face backsplash behind the stove. I thought we could remove the fan and existing duct, board up the wall with plywood, and add additional brick up to the fan. As to above the fan w... Im having a hard time finding a contractor/handyman to turnkey install a bathroom exhaust fan and a kitchen exhaust fan for my house in western suffolk. Id really appreciate recommendations/advice. Kitchen exhaust fan grill
My case has a top vent grille that has space for 2-3 exhaust fans or an AIO radiator. I don’t have anything installed there, so dust is just slowly collecting on and falling through the mesh. I was wondering if covering up the mesh with a flat board would help direct hot exhaust out the back where I actually have an exhaust fan, or would it just make my pc hotter? Thanks! Hi, I have a [GE kitchen hood](https://ge.appliancesaccount.io/MyAccount/product/productDetails/11303795) and even on high it doesn't really suck any air. I climbed up on my roof and took off the top and found this piece of aluminum foil. The foil looks to be puffing up when the exhaust fan is on. My gut is telling me that it shouldn't be there, since it's blocking the air, and I should remove it. Complete noob so curious if anyone would be able to add any thoughts on what the issue might be and if for example replacing the fan will sort the issue. Kitchen exhaust fan grill. Hired a company to install but I feel like something is wrong! Cooking everything before caused smoke alarms to trigger and now only when oven needs cleaning or cooking steak. Current kitchen has recirculating fan built into microwave over range. I had ceiling exhaust fan installed and I then installed solid 8" duct and roof cap. (I might replace as not high enough CFM at 110). As part of kitchen renovation, replacing over range microwave with dedicated range hood. Can I keep the ceiling exhaust and tee the duct from the range hood if both have backdr... Hey everyone, I am trying to put in an exhaust grill on my bathroom fan and just noticed that there are no clips like there normally are for exhaust fans. I noticed that there is a threaded hole in the center, but no hardware store I have been to has any exhaust fans that attach with a screw. Any ideas on how I can attach a new exhaust fan? Thought I should ask before I glue it or some thing. Thank you! https://imgur.com/a/LBWlG5J TLDR; Is it better for noise/system performance to run a 10" EC fan (928 CFM) with 10" rigid duct in a straight run, 10" EC fan reduced to 8" with a silencer, or 8" EC fan (574 CFM) with 8" silencer and 8" duct straight through? We cook a lot and have an open layout, so priority is lower noise per cfm. Hi, I've talked myself in circles on this one and thought I should get some feedback. I bought a house recently and was surprised to find a normal appearing bathroom fan in the kitchen, which is part of 800sqft open floor with ~12’ ceilings. There’s a beefy exhaust fan over the range but it sounds like a jet taking off, and unfortunately is carbon filter instead of exterior vent. Food smells definitely linger. What should I do with it? If it has any use I’ll replace it with higher power and quieter Panasonic fan. The place was well gutted <10 years ago, which makes me think ... There's an empty apartment next to mine and the vent fan thing on their ceiling has been running for like over a week. Repaired a badly damaged commercial kitchen exhaust fan that the bearings had come apart. After the repair the restaurant gm complained that it was no longer exhausting as it was. Since the old bearings had more than a 1/4” of play and the belt was also extremely loose. With a new belt and bearings it seemed to be humming along at the roof. I was thinking on the way home that this exhaust fan is likely pulling 1200 cfm but with no MUA will that number drop much if at all? Hey all, I'm in the process of creating a mining room in my house to consolidate all my rigs (they are spread out at the moment - I'm getting new circuits installed in the room to consolidate). It's a largeish room, probably about 6m x 10m with a raised ceiling in the centre. It was originally designed as a bar room - even has a bar built into it (which I need to somehow get out and sell). I've converted it into my gym and want to make it my mining room as well. The problem will be cooling, ... It's original to the house (1980) and doesn't quite work as well as I would like. The outside flap doesn't close all the way either, letting in warm air in the summer and cold air in the winter. I'd like to replace it with something quiet and energy efficient before winter gets here. Anyone have any recommendations on TTW exhaust fans?
I've recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU, but my case is still a very old [Corsair Carbide 300R](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Carbide-Series%E2%84%A2-300R-Compact-PC-Gaming-Case/p/CC-9011014-WW) from around 2014. I love this case and it's served me well over the years, but my biggest gripe is that it doesn't have a Type-C port, which my new motherboard supports. I'd love to be able to find a case that has 2x USB 3.0 Type-A ports and 1x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port. I...
